Common Name: Panther Crab.

Species: Parathelphusa pantherina.

Habitat: Matano Lake in Indonesia.

Potential Size: 7.5cm (body size).

Social Behaviour: Generally peaceful, best kept with medium-to-large active fish, avoid if you have any delicate bottom dwellers and slow moving species with very long fins. Ensure plenty of hiding spaces if keeping more than one crab. Panther Crabs are fully aquatic meaning they can live fully immersed in water at all times. Hard water is prefered with a temperature range of 25-29°C. Note: these crabs are very good escape artists so make sure the aquarium is fully secure.

Food: Omnivore; eats flake, tablets, granules, veggie matter, bloodworms etc
