Common name: Shadow Catfish / Yellow Pygmy Catfish.

Species: Hyalobagrus flavus.

Habitat: Indonesia: Batang Hari Drainage in Sumatra and Mentaya Drainage in Southern Borneo.

Potential size: 4.5cm.

Social behaviour: A peaceful shoaling fish that should be kept in groups of 4 or more. Provide plenty of shade (in the form of vegetation). A heavily planted tank is the ideal set up for these small catfish.

Food: Flake, microgranules, wafers, tablets, frozen food etc.
