Common name: Australian Empire Gudgeon.

Species: Hypseleotris compressa.

Habitat: Australia & Papua New Guinea.

Potential size: 10cm.

Social behaviour: Ideal species for harder water aquariums. Hypseleotris compressa is not especially aggressive, although it will eat any fish small enough to fit into its mouth. Good tankmates include Rainbowfish & Livebearers. 

Food: Flake, granules, frozen food, live food etc.
