Species: Megalechis thoracata.

Habitat: South America: Amazon, Orinoco & Upper Paraguay river basins as well as costal rivers of Thoguianas & North Brazil.

Potential size: 12.5cm.

Social behaviour:  Peaceful community fish.

Food: Flake, wafers, tablets, frozen food etc.

Species: Synodontis petricola.

Habitat: East Africa.

Potential size: 10cm. 

Social behaviour: Should not be kept with species small enough to be considered food but makes a good addition to a community of hard-water cichlids, ideally mouthbrooding species of Rift Lake origin. It can also be kept with suitably sized rainbowfish and livebearers. Best kept in groups (4+).
